St. Edmunds 215, the Language Learning Resource Center (LLRC), is managed under the Department of Information Technology and has a large student work force that is available to support users and train them on the lab resources. This lab is scheduled through the manager, Kellie Campbell. When classes are not being held in the lab, it is available for training, personal work, and projects. Please visit the links on this site to learn about the many resources the LLRC offers, both within the lab and on the Internet.
The LLRC features a dual projection system with a projector and Smart Board, a document camera, Crestron touch panel controls, multi-norm VCR and a multi-regional DVD player. The LLRC has a circulating text and DVD collection, and provides unique software and hardware for language learning. The LLRC also has one iMac available for use. Capacity is 28.
Mango Languages - Now on Android!
Need help learning a language while travelling, but don't have access to a computer? No problem! Mango Languages, a web-based program available to all St. Michael's students and faculty, is now available as a free Android app! Visit the Mango Languages website for more information on all the available features.
In addition to being available in the Android Market, Mango is also available in the iTunes store for iPhones, iPods, and Ipads.
Open Education Resources!
Did you know that March 5-10 was Open Education Week!? The purpose of Open Education Week was to raise awareness on the open education movement and its impact on teaching and learning worldwide. The Official Accuplacer Study App has been developed by the College Board and is intended to familiarize you with the basic content areas of the Accuplacer test.
