Password Access
You may access many LIS Databases from off-campus using a username and password provided by LIS.  CLICK HERE and login with your mikenet\username and password to access database passwords.

VPN (Virtual Private Network) Access
The campus VPN provides an alternative to password access for accessing licensed resources provided by LIS. To use the VPN, current SMC students, faculty, and staff will need to install the VPN software on their computer, then login into the VPN whenever access to a database or electronic journal is needed.  An active Mikenet account is required for logging into the VPN. The VPN should work with a wide variety of Internet service providers (ISP) and browsers.

Go to VPN (Virtual Private Network and follow instructions to install the client.
