The new bay on the Sutton Fire Station was dedicated during ceremonies at Parent's Weekend, April 3, to Tom Ryan, food service director (second from right), for his remarkable participation in building the addition. Fire and Rescue chief Don Sutton (second from left), presents the plaque to Ryan, while fire squad member Bill Mazus '60, SMC director of administrative services (left), and Fr. Tom Hoar, SSE '73, campus ministry director (right) look on. The station can now shelter all three squad fire trucks, including the newly acquired and renovated ladder truck. The addition also provides space for squad training sessions, and study and lounge areas.

Security Chief Donald Sutton guides the hydraulically powered ladder alongside Ryan Hall Wednesday. The new ladder truck which was donated by the Springfield, IL Fire Department will be temporarily housed in the Central Colchester Firehouse until it becomes serviceable.
