Late April 2007, St.
Michael's Fire along with the Colchester Center and Mallet's Bay fire
departments attended a training burn hosted by the Winooski Fire
department. The building was located on Abanaki way in downtown Winooski
and had been used as a training building for some time. The first
training day consisted of smaller room and contents fire training on the
upper level while the second day consisted of thermal layering
demonstrations as well as a defensive procedures as the house was burned
to the ground.
