Greg Cluff completed his second season as
Saint Michael’s College women’s tennis head coach in 2004-05.
In 2005, Cluff led the Purple Knights to an
11-4 record, the program's eighth straight winning season and tied for
the third-most victories in program history. Saint Michael's advanced to
the Northeast-10 Conference semifinals before falling to eventual
champion Bryant. For his efforts, Cluff was named the Saint Michael's
2004-05 Coach of the Year on May 5.
In 2004, his first season, Cluff guided the
Purple Knights to a 9-4 record, the most victories in program history by
a first-year head coach.
Cluff spent the
previous three seasons (2000-02) as the team’s assistant coach, helping
the squad compile a 36-9 record during that span, including an
undefeated regular season in 2001.
