        WOMEN'S TENNIS DROPS SECOND STRAIGHT, FALLS TO LE MOYNE

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Nicole Beaubriand (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) and Rebecca Milczarski (Cicero, N.Y.) won their singles matches and teamed for a win at doubles as Le Moyne eked out a 5-4 win over Saint Michael’s in a Northeast-10 Conference women’s tennis match at the Le Moyne College Recreation Center. The Dolphins (5-5) clinched a spot in the Northeast-10 Conference tournament with a win over third-place Saint Michael’s (7-3).

 

Beaubriand topped Elizabeth Madlem (Ventura, Calif.) 6-4, 7-6 (7-1) at the No. 2 singles spot. Milczarski edged Anna Young (Louisville, Ky.) 6-4, 2-6, 6-0 at the No. 6 singles position. The duo topped Courtney Murphy (Norfolk, Mass.) and Young 8-6 in Le Moyne’s only doubles victory.

 

The Dolphins return to action tomorrow at Cortland, while the Purple Knights close their regular season on Saturday at Franklin Pierce.
