Kristen Palazzo (Armonk, N.Y./Byram Hills) led the offense for the Purple Knights with five goals and three assists and Kate Hallisey (West Roxbury, Mass./Brookline) contributed four goals and an assist, while Megan Lagasse (Newburyport, Mass./ Governor Dummer Academy) added three goals and a helper. Sophomore Alissa Silverman (Sandwich, Mass./Sandwich) was the leading scorer for the Ravens with four goals. Classmate Courtney Boardman (Buxton, Maine/Bonny Eagle) and junior Amanda McIntosh (Madison, N.J./Madison) tallied two apiece and Boardman also added an assist. Boardman put the Ravens on the board first, scoring 3:16 into the contest, however Saint Michael’s went on a four-goal run to take a 4-1 lead and then notched five of the next eight goals to take a 9-4 lead into halftime. Franklin Pierce came out running in the second half and quickly cut the deficit to three goals, but the Purple Knights managed to pull away with eight goals in the stanza. Ashley Simpson (Ridgefield, Conn./Ridgefield) stopped eight shots in goal for the Ravens, while Jess Anderson (Springfield, Vt./Springfield) made 16 saves for Saint Michael’s. Franklin Pierce (3-12, 1-9 NE-10) next hosts C.W.
