SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - Second-ranked C.W. Post scored 16 of the final 19 goals to snap an early tie and defeat Saint Michael's College, 19-6, in women's lacrosse action on Thursday at Union College.

C.W. Post improved its perfect record to 7-0, while the Purple Knights' two-game winning streak came to an end in falling to 2-4.

For Saint Michael's, junior Lauren Piekarski (E. Sandwich, Mass./Tabor Academy) tallied four goals, while freshmen Megan Lagasse (Newburyport, Mass./Governor Dummer Academy) and Megan Rule (Bow, N.H./Bow) also scored. Junior Jess Anderson (Springfield, Vt./Springfield) stopped nine shots in a losing effort.

The Purple Knights return to action on Saturday, as Saint Michael's puts its 1-0 Northeast-10 Conference record on the line and plays its first game on campus against Bentley College at 2 p.m.
