MEN TENNIS DROPS 6-3 DECISION TO SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE

MANCHESTER, N.H. - The Southern New Hampshire University men’s tennis team evened its record at 3-3 overall and 3-3 in the Northeast-10 Conference following a 6-3 victory over Saint Michael’s College here today. The Purple Knights dropped to 2-8 overall and 2-6 in the league.Freshman Pedro DePaula (Rolandia, Brazil) posted a 6-2, 6-3 victory over junior Josh Holt (Woodstock, VT) at No. 1 singles for SNHU, and teamed up with sophomore Brian Hashem (Auburn, NH) to record an 8-1 win over Holt and freshman Pete Miller (Eliot, ME) at first doubles. Hashem posted a 6-2, 6-3 victory over freshman Spencer Williams (East Hampton, CT) at No. 2 doubles, while freshman Mike Cate (Bow, NH), senior Kevin Keller (Cheshire, CT) also posted singles wins for SNHU.
Freshman Andrew Bolduc (South Burlington, VT) recorded a 6-1, 6-1 over freshman Kevin Cullen (Medway, MA) at third singles for the Purple Knights, while fellow rookie Will Benoit (New London, CT) outlasted SNHU’s Chris Bui (Kraainem, Belgium) 5-7, 6-3, 7-6 (8-6) at fourth singles.
SNHU returns to action Thursday (4/8) when it travels to American International College for a league match at 3:30 p.m. Saint Michael’s travels to Le Moyne Tuesday (4/13) for a league match.
