PURPLE KNIGHT MEN DROP FINAL HOME MATCH TO ASSUMPTION, 9-0

COLCHESTER, Vt. – The Saint Michael’s College men’s tennis team lost its final home match of the season on Sunday, falling to Assumption College, 9-0, in Northeast-10 Conference action.

The match was the first of the season played on Saint Michael’s outdoor tennis courts.

Assumption (4-0, 2-0 NE-10), the five-time NE-10 champion, ran its conference winning streak to 65 matches, as the Greyhounds lost just 12 games and won every set. Freshman Andrew Bolduc (So. Burlington, Vt./So. Burlington) had the best showing for Saint Michael’s (2-5, 2-3), falling in fifth singles, 6-1, 6-3.

The Purple Knights return to action on Wednesday, as Saint Michael’s plays its first away match of the season at league-rival Franklin Pierce College at 3 p.m.
