PURPLE KNIGHTS MISS PLAYOFFS, FALL IN FINALE, 7-4

Phone: (802) 654-2537North Andover, Mass. — Bryan Brazill (Ridgefield, CT) and Kurt Carlson (Lynn, MA) netted two goals apiece to lead Merrimack (6-7, 5-5) to a 7-4 win over St. Michael’s (4-10, 3-7). Goalie Bill McCarthy (Ipswich, MA) also scored a goal and made 15 saves in net in the Northeast-10 victory.
Eric Libby (Cohasset, MA), Tristan Bandoni (Walpole, MA), Barrett Hyde (No. Andover, MA), and Brandon Kobelt (New York, NY) each scored in the loss for St. Michael’s.
With the win, Merrimack secures the sixth and final playoff spot in the 2004 Northeast-10 Men’s Lacrosse Championship. The Warriors will be the No. 6 seed and will travel to Waltham, MA on Tuesday to face the No. 3 seed Bentley College at 3 PM.
