Sophomore Eric Libby (Cohasset, Mass./Cohasset) chipped in with two goals and two assists for the Purple Knights, while junior Nick Calnen (W. Hartford, Conn./Conard) notched two goals and one assist. Junior Brian Hingston (Concord, Mass./Concord-Carlisle) and freshman Robert McCarthy (Milton, Mass./Xaverian Brothers) combined to stop eight shots for Saint Michael’s (2-4, 2-2 NE-10), which snapped a three-game losing skid.

For the Ravens, junior Nick Mincolla (Cohasset, Mass.) scored both goals unassisted, while sophomore Ben Lek (Gaithersburg, Md.) turned aside six shots for Franklin Pierce (0-6, 0-3).

After more than eight minutes of scoreless play, Saint Michael’s set the tone with four goals in the final 6:43 of the first quarter. Kobelt tallied a goal and an assist in the period, and also recorded two points in the second frame as the Purple Knights erupted for six goals in a 10-minute span to lead 10-1 at halftime.

Saint Michael’s sealed the win with six goals in the third quarter, including a score by junior Robert Dippell (San Jose, Calif./Kimball Union Academy) at the buzzer. Three straight goals by Curley in the final period put the finishing touches on the Purple Knights’ highest-scoring game of the season.

Franklin Pierce returns to action on Monday versus Daniel Webster. The Purple Knights play consecutive road contests, beginning with Saturday’s 1 p.m. game at league-rival Southern New Hampshire University, before hosting Bentley College on April 15 at 4 p.m.
