WATERVILLE, Maine ---- The Colby College men's hockey team scored the final four goals of the game, including three in the final period, in taking a 5-2 victory over Saint Michael's College on Saturday at Alfond Arena.

Adam Carlson (Westminster School/Wolfeboro, N.H.) scored two goals to lead Colby (10-5-3). Brian Chisholm (St. Andrew's/King, Ontario) and Kevin Lyons (Walpole Stars/Canton, Mass.) each added one goal and one assist.

The Mules took a 1-0 lead on the first of Carlson's goals at 5:27 of the opening period.

Saint Michael's (8-12) battled back in the final four minutes of the opening period to take a 2-1 lead at intermission. Freshman Jared Silver (Tabor Academy/Montreal, Quebec) scored unassisted at 16:31 and then senior Mike Duffy (Nepean Raiders/Malone, N.Y.) tallied with just eight seconds left in the period.

Greg Osborne (Pomfret School/Stoughton, Mass.) got the tying goal for Colby at 11:15 of the second period.

The Mules struck quickly in the third period with goals by Lyons and Carlson in the first 5:25 of the period. Chisholm added an empty net goal with 14 seconds left.
