COLCHESTER, Vt. – Seven Saint Michael's College student-athletes were named to the Northeast-10 Conference weekly honor roll on Monday, including four cross country runners.

On the men's side, senior Lionel Welch (Worthington, Mass./Wahconah Regional) and junior Thomas Lichtenberger (Bloomfield, Conn./Northwest Catholic) were recognized, while for the women, senior Kim Fahner (Westminster, Vt./Vermont Academy) and sophomore Courtney Richard (Holliston, Mass./Holliston) were recognized following Friday's four-team home meet. Lichtenberger placed fourth out of 56 male runners, completing the eight-kilometer course in 26:15, while Welch was second for Saint Michael's and 14th overall in a time of 27:27, helping the men placed third. Fahner, meanwhile, led the Saint Michael's women with a 19th-place finish, running five kilometers in 20:32, and Richard was 20th in 20:42 as the Purple Knights earned second place.

In men's soccer, senior Patrick Melvin (Belmont, Vt./Black River) and freshman Scott Hinman (New Hartford, Conn./Northwestern Regional) received recognition. Melvin stopped 10 shots in a 1-1 week, including seven in Wednesday's 1-0 shutout of Southern New Hampshire University. Hinman, meanwhile, tallied his first career goal in the victory.

In volleyball, senior Kaitlyn Rae (Wilbraham, Mass./Minnechaug Regional) earned honors. She averaged 3.7 kills and 2.85 digs per game in a 1-2 week, including a team-high 20 kills in Saturday's 3-2 win at Assumption.
