CROSS COUNTRY SWEEPS PETE KRAMER LACTIC ATTACK

Phone: (802) 654-2537JOHNSON, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College men's and women's cross-country teams each swept the top-six spots and cruised to victory on Friday at the four-team Pete Kramer Lactic Attack, hosted by Johnson State College.
On the women's side, sophomore Jamie Deacon (Chester, Mass./Wahconah Regional) took the title in a time of 23:23, :48 seconds ahead of classmate Kim Fahner (Westminster, Vt./Vermont Acad.). Placing third in 23:59 was senior Kristen Dinsbach (S. Hadley, Mass./S. Hadley), while sophomore Jessie Sedore (Craftsbury, Vt./Craftsbury Acad.), sophomore Liz Gray (Westmoreland, N.H./Keene), and senior Catherine Lecuyer (Adams, Mass./Hoosac Valley) rounded out the top-six.
Saint Michael's sophomore Lionel Welch (Worthington, Mass./Wahconah Regional) was victorious in the men's race, posting a time of 29:39. Freshman Tom Lichtenberger (Bloomfield, Conn./Northwest Catholic) battled Welch to the end, finishing just one second behind for second place. Sophomore Paul Wagner (Woods Hole, Mass./Suffield Acad.) took third, :33 seconds back of Welch, and senior Tim Milenkevich (Ansonia, Conn./St, Joseph) was fourth in 30:32. Seniors Dave Balint (Cheshire, Conn./Cheshire) and Philippe Charles (Williston, Vt./Rice Memorial) placed fifth and sixth, respectively.
The Purple Knights return to action next Friday, Oct. 3, as they participate in the Vermont Collegiate Championships, hosted by Lyndon State College.
