Phone: (802) 654-2537CARY, N.C. – Saint Michael’s College senior Drew Best (Manchester, Conn./Manchester) closed his remarkable collegiate career by placing 69th out of 176 runners at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championship on Saturday at SAS Park.
Best, who became the first runner in school history to compete in the national championships by placing ninth in the Northeast Regionals on Nov. 9, navigated the 10-kilometer course in 33:20.5. Best finished seventh among those runners who competed in the Northeast Regionals.
Celedino Rodriguez of Adams State College took home the individual title in a time of 30:25.6. Adams State also won the team championship with 40 points. The race was hosted by Saint Augustine’s College.
