WOMEN'S LAX ADVANCES TO SEMIS WITH WIN OVER SAINT ANSELM

Manchester, N.H. -- The Saint Anselm College women’s lacrosse team was defeated by Saint Michael’s College, 7-2 in a Northeast-10 Conference Tournament Quarterfinal Round game on Wednesday. Saint Michael’s advances to the semifinal round to travel and take on Stonehill College on Saturday.

Saint Michael’s improved their overall record to 8-8 and 7-3 in the conference while Saint Anselm finishes their season with an overall record of 8-6 and 6-4 in the NE-10.

The Hawks’ Ally Maslowski (Billerica, Mass./ Billerica) scored within the first 11-seconds of the game to take a quick 1-0 lead. However, Saint Michael’s came back by scoring goal from Katie Henry (Bayville, N.Y./ Portledge) at the 14:01 mark to tie the game at 1-1. Henry finished the game netting four goals in the win. The Purple Knights netted the next six straight goals in the game.

The Purple Knights’ Amanda Lohin (Wellesley, Mass./ Wellesley) also had a solid afternoon scoring three goals and had an assist in the win.

The Hawks’ Katelynn O’Connell (Sandwich, Mass./ Sandwich) also scored a goal in the loss.
