WOMEN'S LACROSSE FALLS TO DIVISION II CHAMPS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE                                                  FOR FURTHER INFORMATION March 15, 2003                                                                     Contact: Angela Aja Amherst, Mass. - The defending Division II national champion C.W. Post Pioneers handed the Saint Michael's women's lacrosse team a 18-1 loss in its season opener at UMass-Amherst on Saturday.  The Pioneers led 12-0 at the half, before SMC freshman Amaris Pawlowski (Morris, Conn.) scored the Purple Knights only goal of the game at the 17:30 mark.  Sophomore Jess Anderson (Springfield, Vt.) made 17 saves in 60 minutes of action.
