WOMEN'S LACROSSE WINS 4th STRAIGHT
SMC Unbeaten In NE-10 Play

Colchester, Vt. – Sophomore Kate Hallisey (West Roxbury, Mass.) tallied a game-high five goals and one assist to help the Saint Michael’s women’s lacrosse  team cruise past American International College 18-4 Sunday on Doc Jacobs Field.

With the win the Purple Knights remain unbeaten in the Northeast-10 Conference and improve their record to 5-2 overall and 5-0 in the NE-10 while American International drops to 0-4 overall and 0-3 in the NE-10.

Saint Michael’s received help scoring from seven different players on the day.  Senior captain Amanda Lohin (Wellesley, Mass.) netted four goals and an assist as she surpassed the 100-career goals mark.  Freshman Maggie Shanahan (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) recorded her first career hat trick while classmate Alissa Hussey (Falmouth, Mass.) picked up her first career goal.

Sheri Benton (Feeding Hills, Mass.) led the way for American International tallying a team-high two goals.  Franziska Laskaris (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and Kristy McIntyre (Falmouth, Mass.) each chipped in with goals as well for the Yellow Jackets.

Sophomore Jess Anderson (Springfield, Vt.) recorded four saves in net while freshman Kristen Baslik (Sandwich, Mass.) made one save for the Purple Knights.  American International goaltender Priya Gomes (Trinidad) had eight saves in net for the Yellow Jackets.

Saint Michael’s heads back on the field Wednesday against Skidmore College at 4:00 p.m. on Doc Jacobs Field.
