PLYMOUTH, N.H. - Senior Gregory Gosier (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) and junior Bryan Barletto (Liverpool, N.J.) scored four goals apiece Wednesday evening, leading Saint Michael's College past Plymouth State College, 17-6, in a non-conference men's lacrosse game at Panther Field.

The win improves the Purple Knights to 9-3 overall, while PSC drops its fourth in a row to fall to 4-8. PSC senior Andrew Quesnel (Middlebury, Vt.) scored the second of his three goals with five minutes to go in the opening quarter to make it a 2-2 game, but St. Michael's tallied seven of the next 10 goals to take a 9-5 lead at halftime. The Purple Knights turned up the defense in the second half, allowing only one goal, while the SMC offense did the rest, scoring six goals in the third quarter and coasting home with the decisive win.

In addition to Gosier and Barletto, St. Mike's got two goals apiece from juniors Kevin Duffy (Yonkers, N.Y.) and Nathan Siegler (Brownsville, Vt.) and freshman Michael Curley (W.Hartford, Conn.), and single tallies from senior Jonathan Curley (W.Hartford, Conn.) and freshmen Ryan Lynn (New Canaan, Con.) and Brian Hingston (Concord, Mass.).

Junior Kevin Finnerty (Bayshore, N.Y.), sophomore Jake Frerk (Beverly, Mass.) and freshman Steve Skinner (Hingham, Mass.) accounted for PSC's other goals.

Junior Jason Biedrzycki (Amherst, N.H.) contributed four assists. PSC junior goalie Dan Egan (Cambridge, Mass.) made 12 saves, while visiting goalies Jim Crozier (Avon, Conn.) and Ryan Murphy (Salem, Mass.) combined to make six stops.

The Panthers wrap up the regular season Saturday with a Little East Conference home game against UMass Dartmouth (1 p.m.). St. Mike's returns home to host Bryant College Saturday in a NE-10 Conference match-up (12:00 p.m.).
