Hamilton improved to 2-2-0 in the New England Small College Athletic Conference and 3-2-0 overall with the five-goal victory. St. Michael's dropped to 3-2-0 with its second loss in as many days. The hat trick was the first this season for Katsuras, who scored one goal in each period. He now has a team-high seven. Five other players scored goals for the Continentals, including Matt Mesi '08, who also had two assists. John Gordon '07 added a goal and an assist. Casey Deak '07 and Pat McGarry '07 were credited with two assists apiece. Gabe Tash '06 made 16 saves for Hamilton. Jared Silver '07 scored twice for the Purple Knights. Chris Thurston '07 tallied the other goal for St. Michael's. Derek Jackson '07 and Andy Joy '05 combined to make 45 saves. The Continentals led 2-0 after one period, 6-3 after two, and clinched the win with two more goals in the third. Hamilton scored four power play goals and the Purple Knights had two with the man advantage. Thirty-one penalties were called.
