SIX SOCCER PLAYERS EARN NORTHEAST-10 ALL-ACADEMIC HONORS
Four women, two men land on conference's All-Academic Team

COLCHESTER, Vt. – Six Saint Michael's College student-athletes were named to the Northeast-10 Conference Men's and Women's Soccer All-Academic Teams, it was announced on Thursday.On the women's side, senior Kaylin Williamson (Barrington, R.I./Barrington) earned First Team honors for the second straight season. A co-captain in 2005, Williamson started all 17 games this fall, and all 53 games over the past three seasons. A three-time NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll Gold Scholar, she is majoring in elementary education and psychology and has compiled a 3.84 GPA.
Landing on the Second Team were senior Judy Cronin (Norfolk, Mass./King Philip Regional), junior Charlotte Dzerkacz (Maynard, Mass./Maynard) and sophomore Laura Wesley (Chula Vista, Calif./Academy of Our Lady of Peace). Cronin, an elementary education and psychology major with a 3.3 GPA, tied for the team lead in goals as a co-captain this season, and is ninth in program history with 52 career points. Dzerkacz, a business administration major with a 3.69 GPA, played all 17 games this season as is a member of the College's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Wesley, a psychology major with a 3.71 GPA, started all 17 games this fall in the backfield and has started all 35 games in her career.
On the men's side, junior Mitsuhiro Hamakawa (Chiba, Japan/Gakushuin University) and sophomore Brandon Beaudoin (Newburyport, Mass./Newburyport) garnered First Team honors. Hamakawa, a business administration major with a 3.78 GPA, played in 17 of 18 games in his first season with the team after matriculating from the College's School of International Studies program. Beaudoin, a biology major with a 3.75 GPA, tied for the team lead with three assists as a defensive back and helped the squad record six shutouts in 2005.
