MANCHESTER, N.H. — The Southern New Hampshire University volleyball team improved to 5-4 overall and ran its Northeast-10 Conference record to 4-1 following a 3-0 victory over Saint Michael's College today at the SNHU Fieldhouse.  Saint Michael's dropped to 1-6 overall and 0-4 in the league.

SNHU rallied from deficits of 13-6 and 26-20 in game one and outlasted the Purple Knights 38-36.  The Penmen completed the sweep with wins of 30-19 and 30-24 in games two and three.

Senior Lauren Enny (Longmont, Colo.) led the hosts with 12 kills, 23 digs and two service aces, while junior Brittany Porter (Riverton, Wyo.) recorded a team-high 13 digs.  Senior Kristin Ellis (Belmont, N.H.) dished out 20 assists and also added 12 digs, while junior Deanna Guenther (Appolo, Penn.) added 10 kills and three aces.  Sophomore defensive specialist Colleen Eddy (Dracut, Mass.) recorded 19 digs.

Senior Lindsey Shumway (Scotia, N.Y.) paced the Purple Knights with 12 kills and three aces, while junior Jessica Mulroy (Marcellus, N.Y.) dished out 34 assists.  Junior Kaitlyn Rae (Wilbraham, Mass.) added 10 kills for the visitors, while classmate Katie Ouellette (Hampton, N.H.) recorded four blocks.

SNHU returns to action Tuesday (9/21) when it hosts league-leading Bryant University in a league match at 7 p.m.  Saint Michael's is idle until Friday (9/23) when it takes part in the Bentley College Invitational.
