EASTON, Mass.--  Freshman Aly Boulis's (Lincoln, R.I.) goal 6:11 into the second half held up as the game-winner to lift Stonehill to a 1-0 Northeast-10 Conference field hockey victory over Saint Michael's Saturday afternoon at Gorman Field.

Boulis converted passes from sophomore Kelly Latendresse (Sidney, Maine) and senior Lauren Adams (North Andover, Mass.) to net her first collegiate goal that gave the host Chieftains (4-2, 2-2 Northeast-10) their third straight shutout triumph, as freshman Dani Ryder (Fiskdale, Mass.) took care of the rest in goal for the hosts with a three-save effort to pick up her fourth win of the season, all via the shutout route.

Senior Jess Anderson (Springfield, Vt./Springfield) made 14 stops in net for the visiting Purple Knights (2-4, 2-2 Northeast-10), including 11 in the first half alone as Stonehill outshot Saint Michael's by a 20-5 margin for the match in the first meeting between the two squads since last year's Northeast-10 quarterfinal round match-up won by the Purple Knights in overtime.

Stonehill heads to Lowell, Mass. on Wednesday evening to take on defending NCAA North Regional champion UMass Lowell in a Northeast-10 outing that begins at 7:00 p.m., while Saint Michael's travels to Worcester, Mass. on Wednesday afternoon to square off with Assumption in a Northeast-10 match that begins at 4:00 p.m.
