LOWELL, Mass. - Senior midfielder Jacklyn Driscoll (Waltham, Mass.) scored two goals, including the game-winner, to pace the River Hawks to a 4-3 victory over Northeast-10 conference foe Saint Michael's Wednesday night at Cushing Field.

Saint Michael's grabbed an early lead when sophomore Ashley Webb (Simsbury, Conn./Simsbury) scored her first career goal by putting one past UML goalkeeper Nicole Staiti (Barre, Mass.) 4 minutes, 30 seconds into the match. The lead would not last long, however, as senior forward Alysia Morgan (Gardner, Mass.) netted her second goal of the season off a feed from Courtney Hill (Newburyport, Mass.). Driscoll put the River Hawks in the lead with her first goal of the game and second of the season with nine seconds remaining in the first half.

Hill knocked in her third goal of the season to put UML up 3-1, but Saint Michael's answered immediately, with sophomore Lindsay Harrison (Brandon, Vt./Otter Valley Union) scoring her second goal of the year just 32 seconds later. Driscoll widened the lead to two goals with her second of the game, knocking a rebound past goalkeeper Tamsen Hunter (Center Tuftonboro, N.H./Kingswood Regional).

Saint Michael's kept the pressure on the River Hawk defense and Harrison netted her second goal of the game with 57 seconds left on the clock, but UML was able to fend off the Purple Knights' final surge to hold on to the victory.

Hunter made five saves for Saint Michael's, while Staiti stopped six shots for UML.  The River Hawks hit the road to play Bentley Saturday at 11:00, while Saint Michael's hosts Bryant on Saturday at 1 p.m.
