LYNDONVILLE, Vt. – Senior Ryan Coonley (Albany, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) fired a complete-game shutout as Saint Michael’s College bested in-state rival Lyndon State College, 7-0, in baseball action on Wednesday. The scheduled second contest was halted due to rain, with Lyndon State leading, 2-0, in the third inning.

Coonley earned his second victory of the season, and second complete game. He allowed just two hits and one walk while striking out two.

Offensively, the Purple Knights were led by junior Kevin Harutunian (Beverly, Mass./Beverly), who went 3-for-4 with three runs batted in. Sophomore Jack Owens (South Boston, Mass./Boston Latin) added a pair of hits and an RBI for Saint Michael’s (3-6), winners of three straight contests.

Saint Michael’s returns to action on Sunday with a doubleheader at MIT beginning at 1 p.m.
