Phone: (802) 654-2537COLCHESTER, Vt. – Saint Michael’s College dropped just one game in blanking American International College, 9-0, in Northeast-10 Conference women’s tennis action on Tuesday on the outdoor courts. Saint Michael’s improves to 8-3 overall and 7-3 in conference action, while AIC falls to 0-8 overall and in league play.
Cruising to victories for Saint Michael’s were: senior Shannon Bergin (Milford, Conn./Lauralton Hall), sophomores Cara Bednar (Marblehead, Mass./Marblehead) and Liz Clemente (Latham, N.Y./Academy of the Holy Names), and freshmen Megan Conway (Lynnfield, Mass./Lynnfield), Danielle Gagnon (Gorham, Maine/Catherine McAuley) and Michelle Wood (Chatham, N.Y./Chatham).
Saint Michael’s plays its final regular-season home match of the season on Saturday versus league-rival Southern New Hampshire University at 12 p.m., while AIC visits Assumption College on Thursday.
