RINDGE, N.H. - Freshman Mike Boerma's (Concord, Mass./Lawrence Academy) four goals and one assist helped lead Saint Michael's College past Franklin Pierce College, 20-2, in Northeast-10 Conference men's lacrosse action Thursday evening.

Classmate Gregory Lazarus (Evanston, Ill./Evanston) added to the balanced scoring attack with three goals and two assists, while junior Brandon Kobelt (Rye, N.Y./Fordham Prep) contributed two goals and three helpers. Senior Nick Calnen (West Hartford, Conn./Conard), junior Eric Libby (Cohasset, Mass./Cohasset) and freshman Mark Agostinelli (Dedham, Mass./Xaverian) each netted two goals and one assist, while freshman Jeff Hannon (Wilbraham, Mass./Minnechaug Regional) stopped four shots. Saint Michael's (5-2, 3-2 NE-10) has now won three straight contests, and has eclipsed its win total from all of 2004 under second-year head coach Paul Schimoler.

For Franklin Pierce (0-4, 0-3), Luke Ferreira and Nick Cowden tallied unassisted goals, while Scott Freeman and Ben Lek each stopped four shots in goal.

Saint Michael's returns to action on Saturday, as the Purple Knights host Southern New Hampshire University at 1:30 p.m. at Doc Jacobs Field.
