The win in its NE-10 opener evens Saint Michael's overall record at 1-1, while Bentley falls to 3-3 and 1-3 NE-10 after dropping its third straight.         The Purple Knights jumped out to an early lead after scoring four of the game's first five goals. Three of the four goals during that stretch were the result of free position opportunities, two scored by sophomore Megan Lagasse (Newburyport, Mass.). After a goal by Bentley sophomore Katelyn Barry (Hopkinton, Mass./Hopkinton) cut the deficit to 4-2, Saint Michael's scored the last three goals of the first half, including a pair by junior Noreen Russo (Wilmette, Ill.), to take a 7-2 advantage into the break.         The Falcons attempted to climb back into the game by scoring the first three goals of the second half to cut the deficit to two goals. Junior Kristen Palazzo (Armonk, N.Y.) stemmed the tide for the Purple Knights with her third goal of the season and restored the lead to three with 16:31 on the clock. Amanda Soule (Hartland, Vt.) and Lauren Piekarski (East Sandwich, Mass.) added goals for Saint Michael's to move the lead to five with under ten minutes to play and put the game out of reach.         Jess Anderson (Springfield, Vt.) made ten for Saint Michael's, while Lisa Cavallo (Hopkinton, Mass./Hopkinton) turned away ten shots in the loss.         Bentley returns to action on Tuesday with a trip to Easton, Mass. to take on Stonehill at 3:30, while Saint Michael's plays C.W.
