WINGATE, N.C. - Junior Brandon Kobelt (Rye, N.Y./Fordham Prep) tallied five goals as Saint Michael's College maintained its perfect record with a 10-7 win at Wingate University in men's lacrosse action on Friday.

With the win, Saint Michael's improves to 2-0 for just the second time since 1986, and only the fourth time in program history. The Purple Knights have never begun a season 3-0.

For the Purple Knights, freshman Mike Boerma (Concord, Mass./Lawrence Academy) notched two goals and an assist, while junior Brady Boyle (South Dennis, Mass./Kimball Union Academy) added a goal and an assist. Junior Eric Libby (Cohasset, Mass./Cohasset) and freshman Mark Agostinelli (Dedham, Mass./Xaverian) also scored, while freshman Jeff Hannon (Wilbraham, Mass./Minnechaug Regional) stopped 22 shots for his second win in as many games.

Saint Michael's opens the Northern portion of its schedule on Wednesday, as the Purple Knights kick off Northeast-10 Conference play with a 7 p.m. contest at Bentley College. Saint Michael's home opener is slated for Tuesday, April 5 versus American International College at 4 p.m.
