Suzanne L. Duprat Assistant Athletic Director, Coach Duprat is known as the most influential figure in the history of SMC women’s sports. She was the college’s first full-time female athletic administrator, only a few years after the school had accepted its first female students. In nearly three decades at SMC, Duprat has coached basketball, lacrosse, softball, field hockey and volleyball. In 1995 she became one of only three women’s coaches in New England basketball history to surpass 250 NCAA Division II career wins. She was also the first female president of the New England Collegiate Athletic Conference. Duprat took women’s athletics at SMC and brought it to a whole new level. She helped create different programs and influenced many young people. Duprat will always be remembered as one of the most important figures in SMC sport’s history. |
